I earned a Bachelor of Arts, Commercial Music, from Belmont University (Nashville, TN), Master of Arts, Music from Middle Tennessee State University (Murfreesboro, TN), and a Doctor of Musical Arts from Arizona State University (Tempe, AZ). I teach the Sabrecat Band, Fourth and Fifth Grade Music, and Suzuki Guitar at Summit School. This program offered small-group Spanish teaching for children 3 and up, private one-on-one tutoring, and international Spanish summer camps in Costa Rica. Upo n my return back to the US in 2012, I started my Spanish program. I also started and ran the DAIS After School Spanish Program during this time. In 2012, as my husband’s work commitments relocated our family to China, I worked as a Lead 4 th and 5th-grade teacher and Student Admissions Lead for the DAIS American International School in Dalian, China. In 1998, I started working for the Chandler Unified School District ( CUSD ) in Arizona. In 1997, I moved to Washington D.C with my husband and started working at the United States Justice Department Preschool for two years until my husband ‘s work relocated us to Arizona. I also started and managed a Private P reschool /D aycare program for Costa Rica’s largest industrial park early in my career (1992 – 1996). I started teaching in my native country, Costa Rica, where I taught Kindergarten as well as 4 th, 5th, and 6 th grades for several years. I have been teaching for over 25 years as an E lementary School teacher (in both English and Spanish) and as a Spanish Language teacher for children and adults. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the Universidad Latina de Costa Rica.
